Dolphin operates the diver app and the club management website. We process personal data in accordance with this policy and with applicable privacy law (including Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981).
App users (divers): name, email, phone, date of birth, country, password (hashed), dive logs, documents and certificates you upload. Club managers (website): club name, address, phone, email, logo and digital signature, password (hashed), and data about divers linked to the club.
Data is used to operate the service, identify users, manage accounts, log dives and documents, communicate with you and provide support. Personal data you provide in the app will be used only for providing services and relevant information in connection with purchasing diving insurance and scanning dive certificates. We will not use your data for third-party marketing without your explicit consent.
Data may be shared with infrastructure providers (hosting, backup) under agreements and in line with the law. Diver data may be accessible to the club they are linked to, according to system permissions.
We take reasonable measures to secure data and prevent unauthorized access. Passwords are stored in hashed form. We retain data for as long as the account is active and as required by law.
Under applicable privacy law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to processing where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact us via the details on the website or in the support system.
The club management website may use cookies or similar identifiers for system operation, sign-in and preferences. You can set your browser to restrict cookies.
On the public marketing pages (the home page, this privacy policy and the terms of use) we measure aggregate usage — page views, device type, country, and which site you arrived from. The measurement uses no cookies, no persistent identifier and no personal profile, and cannot identify you. The data is used only by us to improve the site, and is not shared with advertisers or third parties for marketing. We do not run marketing measurement inside the management system or the app.
Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with an update date. For questions or to exercise your privacy rights, contact us using the contact details on the website or in the support system.
We process data on the basis of: (a) contract performance – to operate the service and manage your account; (b) legal obligation – where we must retain or disclose data under law; (c) legitimate interest – to improve the service, security and support. Third-party marketing only with your explicit consent.
Data may be stored or processed in Israel or via infrastructure providers in other countries. Where we transfer data we apply appropriate safeguards (agreements, compliance with applicable data protection law) in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law and applicable data protection rules.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Privacy Protection Authority (or the equivalent authority in your country) if you believe the processing of your data violates the law. The authority’s details in Israel are available on its website.
The service is not directed at minors under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental or guardian consent. If you become aware of such collection, please contact us and we will delete the data.
The app may request permissions (e.g. camera, storage) for features such as uploading documents and photos. Data from these permissions is used only for those features and in line with this policy.
You can request deletion of your diver account and data from within the Dolphin app: open the Support tab and choose "Delete account". This immediately disables sign-in, revokes all active sessions, and — if you signed in with Apple — revokes your Apple refresh token. Your name, email, phone, dive logs and uploaded documents are retained and marked as closed; they are not automatically erased. To request permanent, irreversible deletion of your profile, dive logs and documents, contact support — we will complete the request within 30 days.
